The importance of sourcing fruit from a high-quality vineyard cannot be overstated. Hearst Ranch is very fortunate to have a relationship with a top-tier grower in Monterey County, allowing them access to these amazing grapes, which are grown to their specifications. Beautifully balanced with an elegant personality, the 2020 Glacier Ridge Chardonnay is an incredibly versatile wine. The aromatic profile juxtaposes hints of bright pineapple against those of freshly cut grass. A clean and ever-present minerality runs from start to finish, adding a hint of chalky texture. The acidity is ample throughout, framing the entire composition. Predominantly fermented in stainless steel, a small portion was aged in oak for a touch of depth.
