Long Shadows Tasting June 17, 2022

Join us on Friday June 17th from 6-8pm as we as we embark on a chef paired tasting of Long Shadows winery; one of the most exciting custom crush and collaboration projects on the planet! After 20 years building Chateau Ste. Michelle and its affiliate wineries into an international empire, wine entrepreneur, Allen Shoup, had a new vision: to create a group of ultra-premium wines, each with an exceptional international winemaker who's soul focus is to perfect the varietal or style they are best known for. The result is Long Shadows Vintners and some of Washington State's most acclaimed wines.

Think of this winery like the Dream Team or Avengers of wine. Allen, along with his appointed Operations Director, Southern France native and ex-Woodward Canyon winemaker Gilles Nicault, set out to find the best winemaker in each style or varietal of wine they intended to produce. Randy Dunn to represent Napa Cab and make the Feather Cabernet Sauvignon. John Duval to showcase Australia and make their Sequel Syrah. Philippe Melka and Agustin Huneeus Sr. to showcase Napa Valley red blends and make The Pirouette Red Wine. Michel Rolland for France making The Pedestal Merlot. Armin Diel for Germany making The Poet’s Leap Riesling. And father-and-son winemakers Ambrogio and Giovanni Folonari representing Italy with their Saggi Red Wine. It's a veritable 'who's who' of winemakers!

If you're not excited enough already, we again secured the work of Executive Chef John O'neil to create and showcase the food pairings for each wine and even more enhance our evening.
