Join us on Saturday evening June 11th as we explore wines from Domaine Roy & Fils, the second generation project of the Beaux Freres family, and the winery our newest Sommelier Andrew worked at for the last several years before coming to Buon Vino!
We will be tasting select wines from the 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2021 vintages while Andrew walks us through each wine and his experiences working in the Domaine Roy cellar, vineyard and tasting room. These wines are world class, and highly sought after given their legacy, small production and quality. Domaine Roy only produces wines from the two estate vineyards they own and farm. Each property is fully certified organic with no irrigation and all the grapes grown there are hand cultivated, hand harvested and hand sorted. In the cellar, only native yeast from each vineyard is used and no unnatural chemicals or sugars are added.
Domaine Roy & Fils winery was founded in the winter of 2012 by Jared Etzel and Marc Andre Roy, the second generation of Beaux Freres Family. Jared is the oldest son the Beaux Freres co-founder/winemaker Mike Etzel, also making him the oldest nephew to wine critic and Wine Advocate founder Robert Parker. Marc Andre Roy is the only son of Beaux Freres Winery primary investor; a real-estate developer and wine lover from Montreal named Robert Roy. Together Jared and Marc Andre embarked on journey to create wines that embody beauties of Oregon terroir using old world winemaking styles. Plus, it also doesn't hurt that a Buon Vino Sommelier helped make them! We will be pouring 2.5oz pours
There are only 25 seats available so sign up before we run out of slots! We heard that Andrew might even be pulling out a surprise wine from his private cellar for the end of the tasting.
We'll look forward to seeing you there!
